














Effort Appreciation Ceremony 2022-23
Winning an award makes that moment very special as it requires hard work, dedication and untiring efforts. Gulmohur High School organised the Effort Appreciation Ceremony for the academic year 2023-23 on 28th April at the primary building to felicitate the students for winning prizes in different categories.
Mr. Jyotirmoy Dash, who is the General Manager, Frame Factory, Tata Motors was invited as the Chief Guest. The show began with the lighting of the lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana beautifully presented by the students. Soon after, the students of classes I and II were called on the stage to receive the prizes. A melodious song on appreciation was presented by the school choir that fascinated the audience. Soon after the prize distribution for classes III and IV, the students staged a lovely dance performance that made the evening even more special. This followed with the distribution of prizes for class V students. The recipients of the various awards were congratulated by the Chief Guest, Mr.Jyotrimoy Dash who offered some valuable advice and insight through his speech.
The hard work and dedication of the process owners, Ms. Arvinder Kaur, Ms. Lini Chakraborty, Ms. Harvinder Kaur, Ms. Gayatri Mahapatra under the able guidance of the Principal, Ms. Priti Sinha and the Vice-Principal, Ms. Archana Srivastava made this endeavour a great success.
Felicitating Success – Effort Appreciation Ceremony (High School)
Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do.
Gulmohur High School hosted the Effort Appreciation Ceremony for the students of class VI to IX and XI on 29th April, 2023. The Chief Guest for the occasion Mr. Prakash Kumar Sinha General Manager – Heat Treatment, Tata Motors Ltd. Members of the managing committee of the school also graced the occasion with their encouraging presence.
The students were felicitated for their outstanding performance in the academic year 2022-23. The students were not only acknowledged for their academic performance but also their co-curricular achievements and overall conduct during the previous academic year.
A few categories under which prizes were given are – The All-Rounder’s award for a child who showed extraordinary balance in both academics and co-curricular activities, best in subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. Other categories included awards for being disciplined, participation in most number of co-curricular events, best skill presentation in Art and Craft and so on.
The event was made entertaining by a short cultural programme which included a beautiful fusion dance and a melodious presentation called “Jeena Isi ka Naam Hain” by the school choir under the guidance of Mr. Sujon Chatterjee.

The Chief Guest congratulated the “Young Achievers” and the school on its relentless efforts to incorporate innovative techniques in the teaching pedagogy like Critical Thinking, Experiential Learning, Existential Intelligence and so on. The entire event was executed under the visionary leadership of Principal Ms. Priti Sinha and Vice Principal Ms. Archana Srivastava. Process owners – Ms. Baishali Das Gupta and Ms. Gargi Mukherjee and the entire faculty at Gulmohur worked together to ensure that the event was a success.
