FB IMG 1516937280486Gulmohur High School celebrated the 69th Republic Day of our country with great gusto and fervour. Principal Mrs. Sunita Sinha conducted a special prayer session for the staff and students of the school. The students of class 9 and 11 marched along smartly while the school’s band played the marching tune. The flag was hoisted by the Students’ Council President Riya Singh who then gave a speech on the progress made by our country in the recent years. The entire ceremony left everyone with a feeling of pride in being a citizen of our great country India.

FATHERS DAYThis father’s day, the morning of 19th march 2017 witnessed a glorious cricket match on the ground of Gulmohur High School. It was an attempt to thank all the fathers in the world, who sacrifice their needs, just to see a smile on our faces. Fourteen fathers of students from Std VI and Std VII participated in two teams of seven each. The match was of five overs. Team B was the winning team with Mr. Rajesh Kumar as the MAN OF THE MATCH. The Gally Cricket match was organised by the students of Std XII with the help of Mr Ekbal Singh (Sports Teacher) and motivation from our Principal Mam Mrs. Sunita Sinha.

gulmohur sports day overall championsGulmohur High School organized its 44th Annual Sports Day at Sumant Moolgaonkar Stadium on 2nd December, 2016. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Ashish Bhatnagar (Plant Head Tata Cummins). The senior students smartly marched along house wise to the beats of the school's band led by the elected members of the students' council. The middle and primary school students displayed their fitness and agility by drill performances based on the ‘Internal Year of Pulses ‘which gave a beautiful glimpse of the agricultural practices in rural India. Stressing on the importance of self defense in today's world trained students demonstrated several karate techniques. The winners of various track and field events were awarded with certificates and medals. The Principal Mrs. Sunita Sinha evoked a sense of team spirit and positive competitiveness among the students with her words. The chief guest Mr. Ashish Bhatnagar said that co-curricular activities not only makes a person physically fit and mentally agile but also helps in coping with any stressful situation life throws at us.


Math Agility 2Math aids critical thinking , teaches one to be logical. Math is magical and does wonders. Making the students learn the basic of Math, Gulmohur High School, organised Mental Agility Quiz for students of class I to V. Giving a good exercise to their brains, the kids answered various questions thrown at them. kalpana ki udaanGulmohur High School has published a book called ‘Kalpana Ki Udaan’ and had its official book launching ceremony on 19 th of November, 2016. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr.A.B. Lall (Plant Head, Tata Motors) and the Guest of Honour was Mr. S.B. Borwankar (Executive Director, Quality Tata Motors). Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Principals of various project schools across the city. The book is a collection of short stories in Hindi written by students of Gulmohur High School in collaboration with students of Vidyasagar Ucch Vidyalaya- our partner school in this story writing endeavour. After the warm reception garnered by ‘Braided Tales’ – the first published short stories book, this was yet another effort in the same direction by Principal Mrs. Sunita Sinha who finds story telling a wonderful medium to give way to a child’s creativity and imagination. Mrs. Pratibha Verma (Principal Vidyasagar Ucch Vidyalaya) praised the budding authors for the originality that they maintained while weaving these stories. The evening was brightened with some dance and song performances. The participating students were recognised and awarded on the occasion. Mr. Chandrasekhar Das (Teacher, Gulmohur High School) was felicitated on the occasion for his constant support and guidance right from the inception to the culmination of this story writing process.
